Compulsory civil liability insurance for owners of hazardous facilities

The owner of a hazardous industrial facility insures liability for harm to third parties and the environment. The sum insured depends on the maximum possible number of victims under the industrial safety declaration (Art. 15). The rate is 0,72% to 2,02% by agreement of the parties; if the hazard level is above the industry average, it is increased, but not above 2,02% (Art. 16).
