Dmitriy Firsenko, Chairman of the Board of the association, on whom APSU is here for and the insurance culture we want to see in Kazakhstan.
Dear visitors, colleagues and partners,
On behalf of the Association of Insurance Services Consumers, I welcome you. From the very beginning the association set itself one task: to improve the position of the consumer in the insurance market. That task remains our main one today, and the renewed APSU website is a new tool for achieving it.
Whom we work for
People buy insurance with very different expectations: a driver who needs a compulsory policy, a family that wants to protect its home, an entrepreneur insuring business property. What they have in common is that, at the moment of purchase, they are trusting a promise that will only be tested at a difficult moment. Our job is to make that promise understandable in advance, and to make sure that nobody is left alone if something goes wrong.
That is why all of the association's consumer services are free and available without registration. You do not need to buy anything or create an account to read an explanation, check a company, take a course or ask a question.
What matters to us
- Protecting consumer rights. We advise on insured events and disputes and help people understand their contracts and plan their next steps.
- Market transparency. The registry of participants, verified reviews and accreditation help tell genuine service apart from the merely formal.
- High service standards. We invite insurance companies, brokers and agents to adopt standards developed with consumers' interests in mind.
- Insurance culture. An informed client is the best partner for an honest insurer. That is why we develop free education.
- Independence and reputation. We value trust that cannot be bought, so we do not sell policies, take commissions or sell places in ratings.
To market participants
We do not set consumers and insurers against each other. Experience shows that most conflicts stem from misunderstood terms and a lack of communication rather than from bad faith. Companies that explain their products openly, answer questions promptly and try to settle disagreements through negotiation win in the long run.
I invite insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, specialists and organisations that share our goals to work with us: respond to your clients' reviews, keep your information in the registry up to date, and take part in our work on service standards.
To consumers
If you have a question about insurance, do not put it off until an insured event happens. Read the explanations, compare the terms and ask your questions before you sign a contract. And if a problem has already arisen, contact us through the Ask for help form. We will look into your situation carefully and tell you honestly how we can help.
We want insurance in Kazakhstan to be seen not as a compulsory formality, but as reliable protection whose terms everyone can understand.
I invite everyone who shares these goals to join the work of the association.
Yours sincerely,
Chairman of the Board, Association of Insurance Services Consumers
Dmitriy Firsenko
