About the Association

The Association of Insurance Services Consumers (APSU), an association of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities, works on the side of the person who buys insurance. We help people understand the terms of a policy, check an insurance company, broker, agent or specialist, and know what to do when an insured event happens or a dispute arises.

On the APSU website you can, free of charge and without registration, read clear explanations of the types of insurance, find a market participant in the registry, compare policy terms, take courses at our free insurance school, leave a review or send a confidential request for help. All reviews are moderated under one set of rules, and requests are seen only by the association staff assigned to them.

It is just as important to understand the limits of what we do. The association does not sell insurance policies and does not take commissions from insurers or intermediaries. We are not a regulator, an insurance ombudsman or a court, and we do not issue decisions that are binding on the parties. We explain, advise, outline the steps to take and help you prepare for a conversation with your insurer or an appeal to the competent authorities.

To get help, use the Ask for help form on the website. Questions about membership, accreditation and cooperation can be sent through the relevant forms or the Contacts section.
