Employers must insure their employees against accidents in the course of their work duties. The sum insured is no less than the annual payroll; the rate depends on the occupational risk class of the main activity (Art. 17). The minimum premium is one minimum wage (85 000 ₸ in 2026).

If insured events occurred through the employer's fault, a correction factor of 1 to 4 applies (Art. 17-1). If there have been no events for three years, the insurer may reduce the premium by up to 10%.
