What to do in a road traffic accident
In the event of a road accident:
Switch on the hazard warning sign, then report the road accident to the road police by calling 112. Do not move the vehicle or leave the scene until the road police arrive.

Report the accident to the Insurance Company's call centre at the phone number specified in the contract, and call an emergency commissioner to the scene of the accident.

Keep the damaged vehicle (damaged property) in the condition it was left in as a result of the insured event until it is inspected by a representative of the Insurance Company

Take all possible measures to reduce the potential loss.

Notify the Insurance Company's office of the insured event no later than 3 business days; an oral notice must subsequently (within seventy-two hours) be confirmed in writing.

Submit to the Insurance Company the documents listed as required for the insurance payout.

Copy of the policy or insurance contract

Certified copies of the road police materials: the report, statements of the parties to the accident, the accident diagram with Appendix No. 2, and, if there were injured persons, the decision to initiate/bring charges in/refuse to initiate a criminal case;

Copy of the administrative court ruling that has entered into legal force (certified with the court's seal);

If a criminal case was initiated over the accident and the materials were referred to court: the decision to refuse to initiate the criminal case or to suspend it, the court verdict that has entered into legal force, or another procedural document issued by the court that determines the outcome of the case;

Medical examination report establishing the use of psychoactive substances and the state of intoxication;

Copy of the vehicle registration certificate;

Copy of the power of attorney to drive the insured vehicle (if the car was driven under a power of attorney);

Copy of the driving licence of the person who was driving the insured vehicle;

Copy of the ID card of the person who was driving the insured vehicle;

Documents confirming the amount of the loss: the appraisal report on the damaged insured vehicle, invoices for repairs and spare parts, photographs of the damaged parts;

Application of the beneficiary for the insurance payout.
* Other documents may be required under the insurance programme.
In the event of a fire:

Switch off the vehicle's engine;

Get out of the vehicle;

Report the incident by calling the phone number specified in the contract and call the fire service to the scene of the fire. Before the fire service arrives, start putting out the fire with improvised means, if this does not pose a risk to life.

Report the fire to the Insurance Company's call centre at the phone number specified in the contract, and call an emergency commissioner to the scene;

After obtaining the relevant permission from the fire service, transport the damaged car to a storage place and keep it in the condition it was left in after the fire until it is inspected by the appraiser and the Insurer's representatives;

Notify the Insurance Company's office of the insured event no later than 3 business days; an oral notice must subsequently (within seventy-two hours) be confirmed in writing;

Submit to the Insurance Company the documents listed as required for the insurance payout.

Copy of the fire investigation expert's conclusion;

Final procedural document issued following the investigation into the causes of the fire;

Copy of the driving licence of the person who was driving the insured vehicle;

Copy of the ID card of the person who was driving the insured vehicle;

In the event of theft

Immediately report the theft by calling the phone number specified in the contract;

Notify the Insurance Company's office of the insured event no later than 3 business days; an oral notice must subsequently (within seventy-two hours) be confirmed in writing;

Submit to the Insurance Company the documents listed as required for the insurance payout.

Original technical passport of the insured vehicle;

Complete sets of keys and key fobs for the alarm system installed on the insured vehicle;

Copy of the Policyholder's ID card;

Copy of the report filed with the internal affairs authorities about the incident;*

Copy of the scene inspection report;

Copy of the decision to initiate a criminal case;

Copy of the decision recognising the victim in the case;

If there is a suspect, a copy of the decision to bring charges;

Copy of the procedural document determining the outcome of the case: the decision to refuse to initiate or to suspend the criminal case, or the court verdict;
"Abandonment" (the Client's surrender of the insured vehicle as property in favour of the insurance company if the insured vehicle has not been found); if the vehicle has been found damaged, a report on the cost of restoration repairs prepared by an expert licensed for this type of activity must be submitted.
* Documents of the competent authorities submitted by the Client must be originals; if copies are submitted, they must be notarised or certified with the seal and signature of the responsible officer of the state body or organisation that issued the document.
